My Darling:

Enclosed you'll find some Japanese money of various type which I'd like to keep as a souvenir, thirteen pieces in all. Those marked Pesos and Centavos are those used on the Philippines by the Japanese. One with all Japanese writing is from the Jap homeland and the one marked Bank of China is, of course, Chinese. The others are from French and Spanish Islands occupied by the Japs and now liberated.

Well, must close for now and get this off to you. I'm feeling much better today and I love you more each day.

Your husband,
