It's an undated photo of the officers of the Darke, along with a headshot of my father, Evans Hall, and a friend of his, Robert Meeko. The handwritten image is from the reverse of the picture (now lost). 

My father, Lt. J.G. Evans Hall, entered Naval service on May 29, 1944, was part of the original crew of the Darke at its commissioning on August 29, 1944. He left active duty on March 23, 1946. 

Here's a 8"x9" grayscale scan at 150 dpi of a printed page from a book I printed up for my father on the 50th anniversary of VJ Day. Hope this works OK.
