Here are three photographs and a certificate for the Order of the Golden Dragon which I believe were taken in the second cruise. Commander Stevens himself signed the certificate.

My Father, Cpl. Wilbur Lazin, was one of the Infantry Troops the Mountrail picked up and delivered to the Philippines. He has been deceased for 28 years and I found these in a scrapbook. He took these photos with a government issue C-1 Argus, and unfortunately, all I have are the proofs.

I wish to share them with you and the crew. My father talked about all the men cleaning up with diesel fuel afterwards, and on the look out for Suicide Aircraft.

I have several other original photographs of the Naval Base at Kure, and of the city of Hiroshima.
