Philip J. Brisson was born at Hanks, North Dakota to Theophile and Anna (Bergeron) Brisson on June 22, 1920.

On August 7, 1942, Philip enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he worked as a Ship’s Cook Second Class. He served on the USS Neshoba among others. He was honorably discharged on February 5, 1946.

In May of 1980, Philip was united in marriage to Marian Bigelow. The couple made their home in Williston. Marian passed away on November 18, 2004.

Surviving Philip are his children Joe Brisson of Poplar, MT, Phyllis Brisson of Hoodsport, WA, Patty Blummer of Seattle, WA, Robert Brisson of Great Falls, MT, and Eugene Walker of Seattle, WA and step-children Nick Voller of Williston and Arlinda Ashburn of Spokane, WA, numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Philip in death were his wife, Marian; one son, James, a grand-daughter Diane Jaggard, sisters, Clara (Ed) Kortenbusch, Alice (Elmer) Lindquist, Marion (Herman) Rustad, Elizabeth (Henry) Hanson; brothers, Lawrence Brisson, Alex Brisson; and his parents.
