Raymond Conkey, age 83, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, February 14, 2010 at his home in Findlay, OH. 
Raymond George Conkey was born on February 5, 1927 in Deshler, Ohio to Clyde and Vivian (Dupey) Conkey.
Raymond attended Jackson School (Jackson Twp.) in Hoytville, Ohio. 
"Ray" served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on board the USS Neshoba. After returning from war Ray made Patricia Ann Myers his wife. 
Raymond spent most of his adult life in the automotive retail business in North Baltimore and Bowling Green, Ohio, during which time he was given his notable nickname "Cash Conkey." 
As Ray left for war before graduating from High School, the State of Ohio as a returning veteran awarded him the honor of graduating from McComb High School's 2002 graduating class, with his grandson Devon Ray Roseman.

Raymond was a member of the Bowling Green United Methodist Church for many years and a life-time member of the VFW Bowling Green Post. Raymond has been battling cancer for the last three years. Raymond was preceded in death by a son Dennis Conkey, and two great-grandchildren, Rylee Abigail Roseman and Novalee Rachelle Roseman. 
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patty; son Daniel and wife Janet, Powell, OH; son Douglas and wife Lauri, Bowling Green, OH; and daughter Denise Roseman and husband Gary, McComb OH; two sisters: Judith Carsten and husband Vic, Arizona; and Margaret George and husband Gene, Custar, OH. 
Raymond has five grandchildren: Ashleigh Conkey Columbus OH; Andrew Conkey Powell, OH; Christopher Conkey and wife Amy, Holland OH; Devon Roseman and wife Brooke, McComb, OH; and David Conkey Bowling Green OH; four step-grandchildren: Erica Punches, Columbus OH; Ashley Punches, Toledo, OH; Curtis and Nicole Roseman, Claremore, Oklahoma. Raymond has one great-grandchild Chaysen Reed Roseman, McComb, OH.
