I was at Sampson August -October 1953 in one of the last eight week basic courses..

The Korean cease fire was the end of July so the need to rush men through was not as great and they extended the time to 12 weeks and doubled the size of the flights.

We were a 30 man flight and the 12 weeker were 60 man flights.  My Flight was 2757 in the 3662 Basic Military Training Sqdn (BMTS).

We were housed in 'C' area and ate in 'E' area dining hall.
