Verne A. Baldwin is in the last row on the right end. There is one other member of 572 still living that I know of, Robert Goggen. He lives in California and was my Dad's best buddy in the service. They corresponded until Dad died.

Dad was on the Robert C. Tuttle after leaving Sampson until they decommissioned her after a torpedo hit in the South Pacific. Dad had told her that they were refueling another ship when they were hit. They cut out quickly, not even stopping to real in the hoses until they were out of firing range. They limped back into port at 6 knots. It took them a month. He was transferred to the Barnett after that, then the Kopderston and finally the Jason.
