It is good to be back at Sampson after 60 years. Boot Camp Company 133 Bldg C13 (unless my memory is failing me)Remained there for RM school and then on to Sub School at New London. Then it was off to the southwest Pacific enjoying a leisurely cruise around the oceans - unless there was a slight interruption by the enemy. All in all - had a great time. Nice web site

It's been a long time since I signed in last. 06/05/99. Since then a lot has happened. I am a plank member of Sampson WWII Company 370. and this year our ship the U.S.S. Everett F. Larson DD-830 donated a bench for the Brig. We had a lot of Plank owners of this ship that went through boots at Sampson and are proud of it. The ship has reunions every year in different locations, look in the veterans mags.for information, we want you. We had a few people that went through boot camp with me from roop,PA- Scranton, PA. and other locations. We graduated in June of 1945. and I alone went to Boston to catch my ship. Name in boot camp, Peter W. Kopestonsky
